I was saddened to hear the news of Steve Irwin – what a man! His bringing the world of nature to us of the animal kingdom and the conservation and balance and respect for nature I think is hardly been matched world over by any other. I loved him because he was a good dad and husband, and he loved his friends and also was a surfer, but I think his viewpoint about the animal kingdom has shaped the understanding of millions of kids through the years that will grow up to respect God’s creation. Things like this are always difficult for me, it is so true that the Bible says that our lives our like a wisp of wind, we are here and then we are gone. Hopefully his mates and wife will carry on his work; he lived up to the edge and at least outwardly a full life. No one understands why such things happen, but it seems to me that God is sovereign in all issues with respect to the souls of men, including mine and yours… Steve—you will be greatly missed!!! ----- Phrynosoma.org
