I was shocked at the story of Steve Irwin, the guy who got me into loving these wonderful creatures that we call herps. He was my idol. I looked up to him, and wanted to be soorda like him, someone who made a difference in the way people look at our scaly friends.

He certainly effected my life in a good way, and I hope for a lot of other people too. I was certainly surprised that he had passed away from a getting stung by a sting ray. I (and a lot of other people) thought that Steve would get taken by a HOT snake or a gigantic croc.

He certainly will be missed in the herpetologist world.
