There have been few public personalities that have passed in my 29 years that have affected me. None have had this kind of personal impact. I have honestly been really sad all week. When I saw some of my students at the nature center that I work at today (that are fans of his) seeing their pain made it hit home even harder. Whenever he came up in conversation, I always took up for him, and said that despite his theatrics he was obviously a genuine lover of animals, the likes of which are rare. He had an incredible demeanor with every animal that he interacted with. I had not seen the show in a while, (used to have the old ones memorized-lol)but I caught a few minutes of it the morning before his accident. He was very nearly nailed by a little krait that he was removing from a small rural house. I said to myself, be careful steve-o. The world needs you teaching us about these animals and our world. Our thoughts are with Terri, the Kids, Wes, the zoo, and the rest of the world touched by this awesome teacher. RIP Steve the world will truly miss you. ----- Ben Team Mark Davis New Paradigm Herpetoculture Captive Bred Morelia 404-438-2135 chondro776@yahoo.com
