When I heard the news in the wee hours of Labor Day, I was stunned and numb. Wayne and I could not get to sleep and stayed awake talking about it. We just couldn't believe it. Even though I never met Steve or Terri personally, I feel as though I knew them. I cry and grieve as though they were family or close friends.

Their shows drew you in to their world of wildlife education and appreciation as well as glimpses into their personal lives. Terri will now have to find the strength to go on and raise their children without her soul mate and that to me is unfathomable. His father lost more than a son and the world has lost a great man with a truly remarkable mission.

Steve, you will be missed more than you know. Terri, please trust that the love of Christ will help sustain you in these coming months and years as you and your children grieve for your true love.

I have attached a couple of pictures from four years ago when my son Caleb was the Croc Hunter and I was Terri and baby Weston was the critter for Halloween. We dressed up as a our heroes that year. Now these pictures mean a whole lot more...
