I had the pleasure of meeting Steve in person and what you see is what you get. His enthusiasm is infectious and his personality is unbelievably down to earth despite the fact that he has single-handedly changed the face of wildlife conservation and awareness forever.

As a fellow biologist I think his technique was a bit cavalier at times but anyone who knows a hardcore Aussie knows that it's just the way things get done in Oz. I greatly respect the man for his dedication and enthusiasm and ultimately his sacrifice for furthering knwledge and awareness for wildlife conservation.

RIP mate.
Danny Mendez
