i just wanted to express my condolences to Steve's family and friends. this was not a good piece of news to wake up to on a Monday morning. i'm not trying to say i'm psychic or anything, but i had a gut feeling that something was wrong or was going to be wrong that weekend. i couldn't sleep and when i got online and it was the first thing i saw and read, i just went completely numb. i sat there for several minutes telling myself that this didn't happen. the truth is, this guy is the reason i decided to get back into the hobby almost 6 years ago. i've been a snake-lover since i was a kid in the 70's. Steve was only a couple of years older than me. i would watch his show and think "Man, i wish i'd known this guy growing up". i've been telling people for years that i would love to meet him someday, if for nothing else but to shake his hand and thank him for what he does and for being an inspiration to me. now, that's not possible. i really feel like i've lost a brother. i got chills when i saw the clip of him from a few years ago when he said that if and when he died, he hoped he was doing what he loved to do and that it would be filmed. again, my heart goes out to his family and friends. i wish i could be there with them. i miss you, Steve. the world won't be the same without you. may you rest in peace.

greg
