I read that comment and was going to say the same thing until I saw your post. However, I've looking into E. carinata after seeing some the first time a couple years ago. Adult size for E. carinata is only up to about 4 feet or so, while the Ptyas carinatus , can get over 10 feet long. Quite a difference. I'd suspect that the E. carinata, with the common name of 'Stinking Goddess Snake' is more likely to defecate on you than jump up and tag your face. Still, really cool snakes though. Oh, for some feisty Ptyas though!
