The popoulation predictions are really just educated guesses. Unfortunately, the predictions I've been reviewing have AZ as one of the states leading the way in population growth over the next 30 - 50 years, just behind NV and in front of Texas, Utah and CA...all of which are showing up in the top 10 for predicted growth.
