I've never used them, but they're supposed to be good feeders if you can find them in an appropriate size. I know people use them with dragons, chams, and even collareds - don't know why they wouldn't work for anoles. They don't smell or make noise from what I understand, but I don't know where you'd get them in a small size. I've only ever seen a couple (both very large) species available.
