Posted by: rhyion at Sun Oct 15 16:40:02 2006 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by rhyion ] i was at the manchester reptile expo the other day and bought 2 baby northern waters. they are about a month old or less. im pretty sure they are males because their tails are long and slow to taper. i got them in a small 6 quart sterilite container with some paper towels, a cardboard hide box, and a water dish. i hear they need a somewhat varied diet. so far they have both eaten 2 feeder fish. they ate them very fast and seem to have quite an apatite. anywhom, what else can i feed them and how often should i do it? i was thinking large mealworms would be a very well sized meal for them to eat. would water snakes eat a mealworm, and is it good for them. and since they are small now, what about large crickets? would that have any nutritional value?
