I have kept them w/o UV for some time now and they've even been breeding. However, there are risks of undersupplimenting/oversupplimenting Calcium w/vD3 and vitamin A. If you do use UV, make sure to use Calcium w/o vD3 as it is toxic in high levels. If you have any follow-up questions, please ask.
