If I remember correctly, persica used to part of longissima, but were upgraded to full species status no too long ago. My red persian came in July of this year, and is the same age as the black pair but much larger. I hope to get the trio breeding in 08. Not too many red animals available these days, and since the blacks are het piebald, my red offspring shall be 50% hets.
