Talking about flies from the family Phorodae? These can harm egggs and I have lost quite some clutches due ti their presence. A few fly eggs taken out of the tank together with th elizard eggs suffice. If you do not control the eggs frequently, you can loose whole clutches.
![](http://www.d7userforum.de/phpBB2/4images/data/media/820/phoridaeandeggs.JPG) A colony of Alphitobius diaperinus in the tank helps. The beetle larvae may as well harm the eggs, but not as quickly and Alphitobius eggs typically do not adhere to reptile eggs and thus eggs can be removed safely.
Best regards
Ingo
