the best way is to compare side by side but females are slightly smaller and a little more robust. they have large chalk sacks behind their jaws and generally are not as vivid and brightly colored as the males.
the males have more distinct femoral pores and a larger(hemipenal) bulge at the base of the tail. if they are captive bred then the sex is dependant upon the temp that they were incubated at
