the tank is a 40 gallon breeder with about five inches of sand in the bottom. It has been pretty warm here in Idaho thus far, so the temp in my cage ranges from about 50 to 60 degrees or so.
I did slowly take the lights off by using different timers on both the UVB lights and the heat light. Now, I have been leaving the lights completely off.
