I'm glad we were able to get you some advice you felt worked for ya. I think the heat lamps will be best for the animal in the long run. This is not to say that heat pads are bad, I use heat pads for a plethora of lizards and tortoises, so they do have their uses. Thanks for the comment about my tank, I'm glad you liked it. I don't think anyone has ever used the phrase "pimped out" to describe my tanks. I quite liked it, maybe I'll start requesting people use it when they compliment me.
