I'm using a reptisun 5.0 uvb bulb with him now in hopes that the uv rays will increase his appetite and activity (in addition to giving him strong bones). I'm also dusting the crickets now and am hoping that the bright color against the dark substrate and the new smell might stimulate some feeding too. During the day I take all the crickets out and give him his hide log, then at night I'm putting about 6 crickets in and covering the aquarium with a thin blanket.
