Would sand as a substrate be OK for Mexican Beaded lizards? I had been just using newspaper for its ease in cleaning, but decided the sand looked better. I've read in an article from Rptiles Magazine that sand was fione for beaded lizards; however, after looking at the sand-covered face on my beaded, I started to worry that this may irritate the eyes. Does anyone else use this, and is it OK for substrate? Thanks!
