My experience says that russian torts might mate year-round, but the eggs only come out in the spring and early summer. Just in case, be prepared for eggs in 4 to 5 weeks. If the female starts pacing around and digging small holes, it is time. Also, you may want to consider seperating them, or creating a visual barrier in the pen so that the female can get away from the male. A persistent male can really stress out a female.
