I have concluded it is a redbelly water snake. Its got a plain belly, red at the mouth and more orangy for the rest of the belly. The pattern looks definetly similar to that of of of the subspecies of "nerodia erogaster" or whatever it is called, basically some sort of plainbelly water snake.

What exactly is a florida water snake? Is that the same as a florida banded?

Anywhom, in either case, how big would an adult male get, maybe 30 inches or so? And about how long does it take for a male to reach full size in captivity. I was thinking about 1.5 years or so, that soound about right?

thanks
