Pinks are a food source that they can be started on but you have to be careful of the frequency at which they are fed as they are very nutrient dense. You maybe better off using livebearers or rosey reds to feed them as these are typically a better food source and are not quite as nutrient dense. If you are going to use pinks then you still should supplement with D3 as some commercial rodent chows contain excess amounts of vitamin A as retinol which is then stored in the fat and potentially could disrupt the calcium metabolism causing a form of MBD. You should also feed the pinks much less frequently (which is temperature dependent).. The end size of the adult will depend on the amount of growth that occurs before the frog reaches sexual maturity (this is one reason why males are smaller as they mature more quickly).

Adults can go off feed. However depending on the care its also possible its due to an impaction or other cause...
