Hey there,

I have an albino pacman frog I purchased at a local Petsmart. Right now he is about 8 months old or so (I bought him last August, and he was about as big as a silver dollar than. Now he's bigger than my palm). I dont claim to be an expert at frogs or herpatology by any means, but I will give you an account from my own perspective.

I call this little killer, my pet Pacman AH Frog "Grob*" ,a he because, although his throat is blank and white, he croaks a lot. On some nights, when I have the temperature lower (around 69F to 75F) he either doesn't 'croak' (or as I say to my friends, chirp), or he only croaks twice or thrice in a row.

As he has matured, and when I keep the temperature up, he chirps a lot more. Usually about 3-6 or more times in a row with 2 to 3 second intervals between each 'chirp'.

The sound can be described as the following. I heard it described online as a cow mooing, only shorter. It does sound like a high pitched cow moo cut off really fast. I also likened it to the sound of a duck honking, as I ocassionally hear them do with each flap as they fly overhead here in MN for migrations every fall and spring.

Unfortunatley, I have no access to recording or FTP equipment, so I cannot record it for you.

However, in a very-soon-to-come-post by me, I will discuss the signifigance and possible fufilling of such pacman frog calls.

*Grob I allowed my best friend Emily to name my pet albino horned frog this soon after purchase. She chose this name based on one of her online comic characters with a similar figure and disposition (as the average ornate horned frog)... See her comic here
