Hi, I finally got my Russian male approx 4 1/2 inches from the middle front to the back of his shell. The store had no idea if it was cb or wc so I will assume wc. They petstore had it for a few months and although I was hoping for a cb I felt so bad for this little guy. He was being kept in a 10 gallon tank with only zuccini for food (atleast that is all I ever saw). No light of any kind was on the enclosure. I have two questions... At that size can anyone guess on his age? Also is it okay to over feed him for a few days? I have had him for five days. He was a slow eater the first three days and stayed in his hide most of the time. Two days ago he came out early and ate all of his food in two sittings. Yeterday he ate all of his food in one sitting so I gave him more after a few hours and he walked right to the food bowl and finished his second helping. This morning he woke up and went directly to the food bowl, crawled in and waited to be fed. It took about 40 minutes of constant eating but he ate every bite. His meals have been a mix of romaine, napa cabage, broccili, cilantro (tiny amount), carrot, tomato (tiny amount), rose pedals, hibiscus and zuccini. Can I feed him again tonight or should I wait to tomorrow? He barely touched his food at the petstore so he was probably starving for a few months. I'm reading up on care sheets and I'll be hitting the grocery store later for more healthy foods for torts. Thanks for the help!
