I acquired Izzard from a friend in October ’06 and this is my first time having a Tegu. I am not really sure if he is a B&W or what? I have already bought 2 heating mats, timers, flourescent light, heating light, new bedding, new hide aways/platforms and new decorations for the tank. He/she is currently in a glass tank- I think it’s a 50 gallon one (it is 2 feet long). I take him out once in awhile to walk around and to socialize with him. Very mellow and lazy. I usually feed meal worms, night crawlers, tegu/monitor diet, tegu/monitor bites and he especially loves a whole egg mashed up and scrambled. Don’t know if I want to do the whole mice thing. I also got some calcium dust to dust the food with. I tried crickets once- he didn’t seem to do very well with catching those and he really likes bologna lunch meat. Any other suggestions on what I can try...? Thanks.
