Only thing I can think of that may cause some blood in the stools could be parasites. ALot of blood in the stools that is bright and fresh, would mean internal bleeding and an immediate need to rush him to the neart herp vet.

I do not know if it's safe to put minerial oil on your snakes eyes. However why would you want to? The only reason I can think of that you may want to do this is the snake has unshed eye caps. For the most part, these can be removed much safer by providing a moist hide or dampen a towel and let the snake crawl through it a few times. Keep an eye on the humidity for next shed and most likely teh caps will come off in the next shed on their own.
