Posted by: PIG at Sat Aug 26 22:56:54 2006 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by PIG ] So I am soon to be getting a couple of ball pythons, possibly soon. I have the theory of breeding my own rats for their feedings to avoid the hassel of driving 30 minutes every week or so to buy frozen food. I figured asking around for people experienced in rat breeding would prevent me from making bad choices and whatnot. I must point out that I will kill the rat before feeding. What is the favourable way to do this? I assume either freezing, drowning or knocking unconcious. If there is anyone with knowledge of feeder breeding who may have particular tips to ensure benefit to the snakes, rats and myself, I would love to hear.
