Well, Hopefuly its not too late. But in my experience, we've had GREAT luck with the following methods:


Leave the snakes cage where it should be. Keep water in it! if at all possible, keep a mouse in there as well. Make sure the snake can get in the cage. If at all possible, get some stocking material (lady pantyhose stuff) cut to fit the top of the cage, leaving some loose in the middle. Make a slit in the material, in the center. just big enough to fit the snake body through (rmember, stretchy stuff!) use nail polish to keep the hole from getting bigger by dabbing some around the slit ends. Secure the stocking material to the cage with tape, string, or anything of the sort. After a couple of days, hopefuly he/she will come around, find there way in, and not be able to get out so easily.


2. Look near all the warm places in your house. Top of TV's, VCR's, sunfilled windows, refrigerator etc. If you see where the dust has been disturbed, pretty much keep an eye on that area as they might have found the "hot Spot" they have been looking for. Use of flour can help track him/her in this case. If you cant track them, but have found a frequented spot, move the cage there with food in it, and some sort of heat pad/rock (though i dont suggest rocks) on so he/she if not hungry will try to get to the warm spot.


2. Pythons are climbers. Dont hesitate to look in the weirdest places! (5ft redtail boa was found in a cereal box in my cabinets above my washer and dryer....made for an interesting discovery for breakfast time.)


3. Have a cat? watch where the cat has been stalking the wall, or hanging around someplace an aweful lot lately, 10 to 1, they know where the snake is.


4. Neighborhood kids will spot any and everything! Ask if they have seen snake outside or any snake skins in the neighborhood. If he/she got outside, sorry there I cant help.
