I haven't found any herps though. Just ants, spiders, centipedes, and other little bugs. Ladybeetles have been out since February, and there is a violet blooming in my front yard. The forecast for Calgary is this (www.theweathernetwork.com):
Today: High = 12°C
24 MAR THURSDAY: High=13°C
25 MAR FRIDAY: High=13°C
26 MAR SATURDAY: High=13°C
27 MAR SUNDAY: High=13°C
28 MAR MONDAY: High=11°C
29 MAR TUESDAY: High=16°C

LOW'S (Respectively) -3°C -3°C -4°C -2°C -1°C 1°C

Once the low's get higher the snakes will start emerging. I predict my first snake of the year to be within the first week of April. I'm going to try to find some tiger salamanders, too.
