I've been going out the last few days to see what I could find. I've turned up some interesting things...

4 Ambystoma maculatum

10 Ambystoma laterale

1 Adult Notophthalmus viridescens

A couple of Pseudacris crucifer

These were all found in the same tiny pond after only 5 minutes of searching!

I've also caught some Rana sylvatica and Rana pipiens crossing the roads at night.

A recent trip down to millbrook near peterborough turned up an adult snapper(Chelydra serpetina).

I still haven't managed to catch a Pseudacris triseriata yet but I've found a huge breeding congregation of them.

If you've got any herp hot spots around Ontario let me know, I'm still looking for

Elaphe obsoleta (Black Ratsnakes)

Emys(Emydoidea)blandingii (Blandings turtle)

Apalone spinifera (Spiny softshell)

Lampropeltis triangulum triangulum (Eastern Milk Snake)

Opheodrys vernalis (Smooth green snake)

Regina septemvittata (Queen Snake)

Necturus maculosus (Mudpuppy)

Any info would be great.

Cheers

Matt
