Posted by: scatmelee at Tue Jan 9 20:08:56 2007 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by scatmelee ] does anybody have experience with keeping and feeding these guys? i have a 4-5 incher in about 3 inches of water in a 10 gallon tank. i have large pebbles on the bottom and guppies and snails living with it. i use a turtle canister filter and change half the water monthly. it seems to eat everything i give it; chicken, beefheart, baby earthworms, shrimp pellets, and salmon chow so far... what should i give it as a staple diet, and is there anything i should NOT feed it? i thank you in advance for any advice!!!
