Hi all!

6 years ago, when I found out my 2nd child was on the way, I had to part with my Bearded Dragon and my 2 anoles. The anoles were thriving happily in a 20 gallon long living terrarium that I set up myself. I enjoyed this set-up very much. A member here (jeez, I wish I could remember who it was) contacted me via email and helped me to set up the terrarium... I enjoyed it so much that I built several more for friends and even one for my Mother! (hers had no animals inside

Anyway, I forget all that I knew. I have no idea where to start. What I do remember is adding crix only once or twice a week and the anoles would hunt when they needed to. Also, I remeber the person teaching me that there was no need to clean the anole waste... it would just become part of the small eco-system in there. This worked out very well. I remember the substrate being at least 3 inches deep and being made up of layers... I think there was sand, pea gravel and potting soil... and maybe peat moss? I also misted regularly.

OK, so how much of what I remember is true LOL? Please help me fill in the blanks.

Here is what I want to do:

I have a 30 gallon long that I'd like to be a living terrarium. My 2 anoles (1m 1f) thrived in the 20 gal, can I add an extra female or 2 to the 30 gal? I really need to start from the beginning, info on setting up and maintaining the terrarium and caring for the anoles.

Any links you can point me to would be great and any info you'd like to provide me here would be really appreciated as well. I really miss this hobby and I miss my anoles most of all. It was so interesting to observe them in what looked like a very 'natural' environment. I think this will be something my kids and I will enjoy together.

Thank you in advance
Jay
