i just had question regarding one of the water snakes that are in my area. i live in nothern california close to the capitol
and i have noticed alot of a centain kind of water snake, but i don't know what kind. they are pretty much all black to dark dark olive green and they have an orange to reddish belly.
they live in the rivers up here and i haven't gone to the river in the summer time without seening one or two. when i catch them they let out some sort of stench. any ideas as to what spieces this might be? whats the common name? sorry i don't have a pic.
