Well fish here and isn't to bad but at the same time thats why i stick with varity,cause some tegu's are just picky .I mean i've owned eight tegu's and my red tegu that i had was picky but he ate other things.Also you can still give him insects like larger roaches are good for them,try groung turkey to all mine seem to like it,did you ever try chicken peeps they are good for tegu's to.I feed my one tegu now mice,ground turkey,roaches,fruit,chicken peeps when he gets alittle bigger, vegetables like broccoli,etc.You can try hard boiled egg.Well good luck with your tegu.
