My Sulawesi toad, Mr. Toad, has been with me for 2 years. Lately, he seems to not be using his tongue to catch his crickets, so he's not catching very many. Used to be he'd snag a cricket from several inches away with his tongue. All of a sudden he's making snapping noises, but not actually extending his tongue, so he's not catching anything. I've started feeding him in a seperate container, thinking maybe he doesn't like catching dirt with his crix & this is increasing his ability to get more in his mouth, but he's still not using his tongue, just lunging at them & if they're in the right spot, he'll get them.
