I seem to find at least one every year in my flower beds around the house in a suburban neighborhood!!! Not out in the country or wilds of America LOL!! I show them to the kids and let them go on their little ways. I kept one many years ago that steadfastly ate slugs, but nothing else. It passed away on me and I suspect the reason was dehydration. Not sure of their temp requirements, but based on their lifestyle (shady areas with thick vegetation) appear to be ok with room temps. I would keep a humid side to their cage just to make sure, and an easily assessible and shallow water bowl. They supposedly take worms, but the one I had way back when maybe accepted them once or twice. I had to scour the flower beds in the yard turning over rocks looking for slugs!!! I never tried keeping the ones I have found lately, so very limited knowledge.
