Hello all: i’m new to froggies in general so go easy if i’m doing something horribly horribly wrong... Anyhow: I’ve only had my baby fantasy frog (little lime green fella) for a couple of weeks now, and he’s been great. Currently I have him housed in a 10 gallon glass tank with a layer of pebbles, substrate (coconut fiber) and moss with a bathing pool in the corner. I’ve been feeding him gut loaded crickets dusted with Calcium powder and the occasional med. sized meal worm (one of each per day), and have been trying to make sure the temp. and humidity are atleast 72 degrees and 50 percent. So far, i’d like to think i’ve been doing everything right, but recently, i’ve been noticing that he’s been changing color along the two panels on his back on either side of his spine: two finger print sized dark reddish brown patches that seem to have appeared there and i’ve no idea why. I’ve heard of red leg and MBD, but he doesn’t seem to exhibit any of the lethargy/loss of appetite. There was recently a small fire in my apt. block and our rooms had some smoke in them for about an hour or two.. could this be what’s causing this?
