My guy is a shy eater, and still a baby. I make sure he has food at all times so he can eat when he wants. At first, 4 crickets would last a few days. Now, he's eating between 4-5 large crickets or small roaches every night. Just to be on the safe side, I do leave a small little bit of fish flake in the tank, in case the crickets get hungry...rather have them eat the flakes than my frog! ~:^)
