Just now, I discovered that if my tegu sees a light bulb next to his cage, he will immediately attack it (or try, considering all he ends up hitting is glass). He doesn't do this with hands, or absolutely any other objects I've placed near his cage. I tried some different sizes and colors of lightbulbs, and it's all the same. He'll frantically dig or run to attack them, mouth open. Still, like I said, he doesn't do this with any other objects.

Is this normal? Is he just somehow perceiving this as a threat? Has anyone else seen this happen? It seems pretty weird, but then again, tegus do a lot of things that seem weird. Any suggestions?
