I have had a male and female anole for 3 weeks and am a new herp owner. Today I saw a half inch oval creamy colored "thing" stuck to a leaf in their cage. It looked slightly misshapen. The female then began to attempt to eat it. It looked soft and after much "mashing" with her jaws, it seemed to become more yellow. She finally succeeded in rupturing it. Now I can't find it, she may have eaten it entirely. Could this have been an egg? Is this normal behavior?
