Hi, I have 0.0.4 adult P.pipa. They have been housed in 80 gallon tank for over 2 years (still with no succesfull breeding). Just recently (the past 3-4 days) one of the larger animals has been freaking out. It goes into bouts of spastic swimming, first to the surface, then along side the long distance, in a very frantic matter. The animal appears stressed. I have noticed amplexus before, so I doubt it has anything to do with breeding behaviour. About 4 months ago, I altered the tank by adding some water lettuce to it. The lettuce thrives, I doubt this has anything to do with the condition described. About 1 month ago, I becan to include frozen thawed smelt, into their diet. I'm not sure if this could somehow have infected that animal. Any speculation, opinions, or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated, by both myself, and the distressed animal (yes, only 1/4 is behaving this way). Thanks in advance Tom
