Q on tegu eating habits

hello.
for the past several weekes, i've been interested in getting a smaller monitor or blue tegu. my question is how much does a blue tegu eat and how often. i do hear they eat a lot. but so do i. so i would like to know about how much how many times a week. i would like to be prepared before i take the plunge.
