They are large, 6 feet or more, and generally aggressive. Some are picky eaters but most will come around to eat live mice or chicks. There are aren't many color "morphs", but the band count will change based upon locality. Some specimens of the dendrophila subspecies are known to occur with white bands. The three subspecies seen in captivity are melanota, dendrophila, and gemmicincta. Awesome snake!
