Just so you are aware it takes more than having males and females in the same tank. You will need a rain chamber (separate enclosure) to be able to simulate the correct conditions, you need cooling and warming periods in conjunction with slow food periods and then abundance of food.
The ratio thing is correct as well, 3:1 is probably more like it, so a group of 6 with 2 females would work. You would need at least a 40 gal tank, larger is better.
