Has anyone experienced this behavior?

When I handle my waterdragon, I find that he prefers it best if he is held above my head and my surroundings. It's somewhat strange, but he definitely gets more agitated if he is lowered than if he is held high above the surrounding environment. I was just wondering if anyone else encountered this. I find this behavior profound and it generally makes me love these lizards even more.
