You guys are right. It's been a few years and he has been on a diet and is a healthy weight now. Thankyou for your advice. I just kept reading on caresheets that for the first year you should feed them without limiting their food, which may be somewhat true as a starting point but I should have known when he got fat to stop. Also the whole trying to get him to eat fruit thing made me feed him so much meat to hide fruit inside, when I later found out that if I just let him eat normally he will eventually, with time, take food. I am glad he is healthy and good now and no lasting damage was done.
