I have a huge all-glass reptile enclosure with a built in metal screen lid and sliding glass doors on the front. It's over 4 feet long, by 2 feet deep and almost 3 feet tall (Equal to about a 180 gallon aquarium). I currently have 2 female Leopard Geckos and a female Fat-tail. I keep them on a sand/coconut bedding mixture. The temperature is about 88-90 F on the warm end, and about 80-82 F on the cooler end. It drops to about 75-78 F at night. The tank has a fairly big waterdish, some natural driftwood and mopani pieces, lots of hides, a moss box and some live and artifical plants.
I'd love to add another lizard to the set-up but I am always weary about mixing species. I love the looks of a community tank, but I'm a little unsure if I can with these 3 geckos. (I've only ever done it with small arborials; green & brown anoles, long-tailed grass lizards, green treefrogs, etc.)
Any ideas or tips?? Reccomended species, if any?? Thanks! ----- Owned (and trained) by: 3 Chihuahuas, an AmStaff, a Rottie Mix, a Savannah Monitor, a Veiled Chameleon, 2 Leopard Geckos, 2 Pictus Geckos and 3 Bettas
