what kind of light are you using? you can use a partial glass lid with screen where the UVB or backing lights are and that shoudl help. also, if you want to get a little more elaborate, false bottom tanks work good, it's just eggcrate on top of 2-3" PVC where water can collect. what kind of substrate are you using? if you have multiple layers that helps, like a layer of gravel, dirt and then moss or something, or reptibark hold humidity well. if you still have trouble keeping it up, just try soaking it every day and help it shed. what exactly do you mean "trouble shedding" , is it sticking to his toes or something. in that case just soak him and pull the skin off slowly in the water. if u do it too fast it will just tear and the skin will get stuck on it's toes or tail. make sure you feed and hydrate it good all the time, but esp. during shedding. the bigger it is the easier the skin pops off.
