Ok I'm totally new to breeding boas. I've witnessed my pair breeding in January and removed the male mid March as the female was not only body bumping him (where previously she did that on the first 2 days they were together, then bred) but my male zoomed out over 4 times to get out of her cage when I was cleaning. He's never done that before so I could only assume she was no longer receptive.

Tonight I came home from work and saw my girl completely upside down basking like a retic does when gravid and this is NOT a normal position for her. lol
I was wondering if this is a sign of ovulation or could this mean she's gravid? On the off chance she's ovulating I didn't want to miss it, so I put my male back in just now and rather than her usual body bumping and huffing, she seemed very relaxed and non-stressed about his sudden appearance....and he seemed instantly interested in her again like he did before.
Thoughts? (sorry for the shoddy pics...I didn't wish to disturb her and she was already aware of my presence. LOL)

(she is still readily feeding on smaller meals...I've kept her on smaller meals since she "refused" him in mid March).

Hugs!

Amanda
