I have used such things as Coppersafe quite effectively for velvet type parasites on cichids in fish only tanks. The cichlid I have with my 5 year old RES has some velvet type parasites and I would like to treat it. I have never had to treat the 'turtle tank'. Any suggestions? The Coppersafe and other medicines I have do not make any mention of turtles.

The tank is a 75 gallon, so I am not too worried about over medicating. I guess it is suprising I have never had any issues for five years.

Anyone had this problem and how did they solve it? Thank you!
