But here goes. while i have owned reptiles for years my turtle experience is limited to only south FL native species.
Well it tunrs out my husband saw a turtle racing... ive never seen it... but he wants turtles, and he only wants the kind that people race??
i dunno i am trying to steer him in the direction of some type of tortoise like a leopard or russian.
Well thats kind of beside the point.. my question is does anyone know what kinds of turtles people use in turtle racing... yeah i know. but i promised i would at least try and find out. i am suspecting its some sort of box turtle.

I have a vacant 200gal aquarium so space is no problem.
any help would be great. if it were up to me i'd just get a leopard tortoise and be done with it haha. THANKS!

beth
